There is a guy on Twitter convinced the Canes would be killed by McDavid. They ignore the fact that the Canes are 12-5-1 against the Oilers since McDavid entered the league and the first 3 of those were with Bill Peters behind the bench.

I'm convinced the average Canadian hockey fan has an IQ as high as McDavid's cup wins. Sens fans are still making comments about the Canes not being able to sellout for the playoffs. Ignorant assholes, the lot of them.

They get that because TV show shows empty seats from season ticket holders who don’t show up or sell their tickets on a third-party market that don’t sell. you can look on TV and see empty seats. It’s ridiculous.

One of the playoff TV commercials is still trying to make "McJesus" a thing. I said to my wife "Maybe he can earn that nickname when he wins the Cup, but not before." This is McDavid's 11th NHL season. By Gretzky's 11th NHL season, he had won all four of the Stanley Cups he would win in his career. If that's the only hardware that really matters... well, Gretzky made 5 appearances in the SCF and won 4. McDavid is 0 for 2. Even Ovechkin has more Cup wins than he does.

The league really needs to go zero tolerance on the crosscheck. Call every single one. And after a whistle, automatic double minor. It really has gotten out of hand. The officials are simply ignorant and inept, and a few are probably pretty corrupt. I like the comment about having the situation room call penalties, but it'll never happen.
