I like the idea but so far 0 for 3 (Barron, Dach, newhook). Though I still have hope for dach being decent next season.

That, drafting him at 5OA because he’s a Québécois, sounds stupid. That’s how we ended up with Louis LeBlanc instead of Chris Kreider.

That, drafting him at 5OA because he’s a Québécois, sounds stupid. That’s how we ended up with Louis LeBlanc instead of Chris Kreider.

Not simply because he's a ti-gars but because he's good enough to be the 5th overall pick. The fact that he's French is a bonus. We wouldn't be "reaching" with this pick.

I'm biased towards the Q because I watch more games from that league than all the other leagues combined.

I like Desnoyers a lot and I'd be thrilled with him. That isn't to say I prefer him to the players in the other leagues, I'm just not familiar enough with them.

Wheeler having Carbonneau at 10 is... interesting.

I agree….but I just read Wheeler’s draft rankings and he had Desnoyer at 5 and I doubt he cares about his last name.
