I think it's safe to assume that if the Ducks are on Krieder's list, the Habs must also be on it.

that is just silly, no one tells other start athletes to take it up the ass the way we expect hockey players to do it or take some minimum wage job. Funniest are types like one this board who is always against the man, standing up for workers, but hockey players just have to take what is given to them and accept it.

No one is saying they have to accept it. Geeman is simply stating an objective fact. Namely, that most of these dummies would be pumping gas for a living if not for hockey. And since no league pays better than the NHL the market is whatever the owners say it is.

Minimum wage isnt millions last I checked

Owners deposit the moola , but having a player hold me hostage because of a no move clause I gave you has gone to far

Like I said try and make your millions elsewhere , 95% of this league would starve .

Had the same debate with friends

How many employees have a full guaranteed 8 year no move contract at your job ?

What happens when you put out no effort , dont produce at your work place ?

What consequences do you have when you tell your boss to fuck off , I am not going anywhere ?

These athletes have it all ....money , lifestyle , early retirement with financial security for life and all is guaranteed regardless of your performance

What the fuck more do you want when the average worker just survives while your treated like gold

The ones you feel sorry for are the players in the 60-70`s who couldnt retire comfortably and now many are dealing with injuries and limited pensions and health care , these players were pieces of meat not the players of today .

If you dont like that I should be able to trade you when I am in charge , just retire and do something else.

They should be kissing their owners for what they get playing a sport

In no other big money sport allows for such a lack of accountability. Try doing that, for big money, playing soccer in Europe.

not sure about that, NBA players run that league, as do NFL ones. MLB players actually fight the owners and refuse to cave to a cap.

NHL players act like they will fight but then caved on the cap. They sign 8 year deals at 21 years old and are stuck with that team. NBA and NFL guys go hard for free agency but NHL players do their utmost to avoid it.
