It’s blatantly obvious Darche’s #1 goal is to try to find a way to land another top-7 pick to select Hagens + NYI have zero intention of signing Dobson to any cap hit more that reported $7.5M let alone $11M being asked

Three ultimate questions in this game of Dobson chicken:
- Can Darche stomach not dealing Dobson today & potentially face offer sheet as of Tuesday or enter lame duck season w Dobson either netting a much smaller deadline return / walking as UFA?
- How important is a heavy front loaded contract w huge bonus structure for Dobson? STL org policy is no front loaded bonus structured contracts
- Is Dobson particular on which team(s) he wants to play for / live?

FWIW - Pit & Habs are only teams w 2 top-17 picks in the draft
They have 14 and 20. Same thing.
Dobson is a PEI guy. Makes sense he wouldn’t be opposed to playing in Mtl

Who can CBJ offer up equivalent to Mailloux as potential ELC slot in replacement for Dobson on RD?
I thought the whole deal was picks. Not sure where Mailloux comes in ? Is it M + the two picks ?
