I like the team's chances more in 2026-27. Then things will get interesting. Demidov, Reinbacher, Beck should all be over getting their feet wet and making contributions. And hopefully another key acquistion by Hugo. Hage may be ready to go from day 1 as a pro, after getting the proper college experience and coaching.

I’m more like ‘27-‘28, which unfortunately does not align closely enough with Crosby’s “utility window” for me to sacrifice Hage, and then have to starting looking for a 2C all over again when Crosby is finally done.

I still think Crosby elevates the entire team in a massive way. Can you imagine how much these kids can learn from Sid in 2 and maybe more years? On top of being the best possible 2C you could hope for.

Obviously it's a moot point, since he's almost certainly not going to come available... But it's a fun thought experiment in the dog days of summer.

With Kyle Dubas as GM, anything is possible, especially if it sucks for the team he's managing.

I wanted Lambert who was hyped as a top 5 pick a year before , a better boom or bust gamble with multiple picks
