Rants is only 3 years older than Nick.. we need another center and Rants fits our system.. waiting around for us to develop a center would take years and then Nick becomes too old at 28 ...finding one by way of trade is possible but so far all we get is a player that needs a "fresh start". Sign Rants would be a home run IMO

I understand the sentiment but would actually rather give that money to Marner. I'm not sold that Rantanen can do those numbers without an elite center.

May as well go after Marner. He's a regular season beast and the Habs ain't winning the Cup anytime soon so the fact that he's a bust in big games won't matter. He'll just be a more talented Perimeteretty.
