I would go 2x7 mil ....8 mil year 1 and 6 year 2

This way he gets paid upfront and still may have a contract at 36 .

He is my number 1 target , the perfect fit .

Yup - My proposal once the Cozens rumors started popping up around Xmas, was Dach (pre injury) + Mailloux for Cozens

Bartering is silly for this reason. Bronze Age civilizations knew how to use currency. NHL, not so much.
