Sounds like the blues didn’t want to trade him. The ask seems too absurd to be real.

Toronto not getting Ehlers, not trading for anyone really good and becoming a much worse and slower team, plus McDavid resigning in Edmonton, would be an amazing and hilarious offseason. Marner getting top 5 in scoring this season with Toronto bubbling and eliminated 1st round would be the cherry on top!
