Army is simply trying to find an over inflated trade offer but Kyrou has a full NTI'll take a 30g scorer on the second line. Call me crazy.

And Kyrou has apparently told his agent he’d waive for Habs…Army is simply trying to find an over inflated trade offer but Kyrou has a full NT

“We all knew everybody would have more money than usual in the summertime, so I think we all expected that,” Gorton said. “I think now, it’s always the same, right? You get to the first of July, everybody spends their money, it goes out to players, and it feels like the next day, everybody went on vacation for a while, and they kind of reassess the market. Except now, if they’re reassessing the market, they still have money to spend.“
“So that’s why there’s probably going to be a scenario where there’s probably going to be some trades between now and training camp, because people have the money, people have the needs. I think you might see some hockey trades, maybe a defenseman for forwards around the league or vice versa. Because teams have their needs, they’ve had time to assess, and there’s very few teams, I think, who are in cap trouble with no way out.”
The Canadiens analytics department built by Gorton and Hughes and headed by Christopher Boucher actually does a lot of modeling to see how a particular player — in this case Dobson and Bolduc — will fit in their lineup, as well as how they would have looked had they played the whole season with the Canadiens and getting the ice time they would have gotten in Montreal.
“In both cases, they’re running scenarios placing them on our team, analytically, where they would fit,” Gorton said. “It’s hard to do, but trying to lay it out as if they were on our team for the whole year, where would they fit, ice time, their controlled breakouts — we’ll go through all those scenarios to try to get a real picture of what it would look like. So they have a seat at the table.
“Ultimately, at the end, you’re going off a number of different people and all these different departments, but you have to rely on what you saw. But I would say Chris Boucher and his staff, they’re as influential as any analytical department in the league.”
I understand that you don't want him as we need a 2nd line centre, but anytime that you can add a 30 goal scorer where you win the trade you do it. You can then bundle additional forwards to get the 2nd centre.. just my thoughts.. Kyrou/Bolduc/Demidov/Dach/Laine all fighting for 2nd line duties looks pretty good..I dont want Kyrou , nice player but doesnt fill any need for a big 2C or PF who can score
If we let the emu walk this isnt the move to make for me
We need another Bolduc move for Matheson , promising yute and a depth piece on D

Jeff Gorton feels Canadiens added talent to their core, but more could be coming
The Canadiens' executive VP of hockey operations anticipates more trade activity league-wide this summer, and intends to be a part of it.www.nytimes.com
I always suspected Chris Boucher has quite a bit of say in HuGos moves
AndersonWe also don’t have as many top 9 wingers going forward as we all think we do.
Confirmed:
CC
SLAF
Demidov
Laine (UFA)
Bolduc (maybe a C)
Newhook
Maybes:
Dach (?)
Roy (???)
Davidson (????)
Mesar (??????)
Sam Harris (????????)
We need centres but we are not swimming in wingers either.
Going forward meaning 5 years.
And Gallagher recent history isn't injuries
His shot returned last season. Most of them were just bad luck — slap shots hitting right in the hand exactly where the glove offers no protection
You’re way too negative. We also don’t have as many top 9 wingers going forward as we all think we do.

Army isnt giving you a win trade accepting Gallagher and Struble in returnI understand that you don't want him as we need a 2nd line centre, but anytime that you can add a 30 goal scorer where you win the trade you do it. How is that negative ?He’s a bowl of sunshine compared to wise guy
I doubt that Gally and Struble are what we will be trading back.. Kyrou NTC is in play and if he is willing to waive to go to Montreal you have to listen..he has played centre, he finished tied for 5th in the league scoring 5 on 5 with 25..1 behind Cole.. I think if we do trade for him Matheson has to be going the other way... we have no one in our system like Kyrou.... having said that, it would not surprise me if the Habs sign Kuznetsov.. to a 1 year contract.. he played with Demidov.. and the Hab brass have been watching him play.. he is a left handed centre which also helps in replacing Dvorak .. the Habs have to set it up for Demidov success ...Army isnt giving you a win trade accepting Gallagher and Struble in return
