2026-27 Hurricanes Prospects and Minors Thread

That would be correct. Sure you can call the different series a few different names for example like Division 1 = ettan and Division 2 = tvåan.
Also Allsvenskan is mostly called Hockeyallsvenskan just to separate it from the top flight football league who is the real Allsvenskan.

I am curious as to what Wiggo Sorensson's path will be. He is only 18 so he has years to go before even coming over to North America, but I assume that after this season, the expectation would be he would at least be playing for a HockeyAllsvenskan team if not an SweHL team?

Artamonov looks like he has fell off a cliff, was it last year or the year before where he was leading the KHL in scoring, now the guy just seems to be doing a whole lotta nothing over there.

From what I understood he wanted to stay and play for his childhood team instead of signing for an elite team and play in the youth system, something I can sympathize with because it happens less and less.
Realistically I think that will be his next step and it will likely happen next season.

Yeah, we thought the talent might leak down to the ECHL a bit more this season and that's what's happening. Those guys should be a big shot in the arm for a team that was really short on skill (and most everything else, honestly) last season.

NCAA season has started (for most of our prospects).
