They tried to gamble this draft to find that Hagel diamond in the rough type player…Disappointing draft overall. This staff loves drafting overagers
Pugzilla might be a really good one. They tried to gamble this draft to find that Hagel diamond in the rough type player…
I like the second round pickThere was definitely a lack of talent outside of the first round. May as well go for size. Nice that they did focus on big guys that can skate well though.
Has an overager panned out? They seem to take them too oftenJust don’t understand taking overagers that are AHL fodder like Cleaves when there’s much better darts to throw at potential talent
I haven't seen him play yet as he just signed... i have season tickets so i will pipe in during the season

So highly skilled players?looks like they are getting players that if they make it will help in the playoffs..
Conspiracy theorist would surmise they are trying to stockpile hoping for cheap (ELC) plug & play NHL ready bottom-6 in short term 2-4 yrs, should HuGo choose to entertain offer sheet avenuelooks like they are getting players that if they make it will help in the playoffs..
They've always said they don't want too much redundancy in the lineup. Teams with good big players don't like to trade them - although Carolina and Minnesota seem to be able to acquire them somehow . . .it’s an interesting pivot — the staff that took a chance on midgets like Hutson and Rohrer, going full on MacCarron
I’m on board because in HuGo I trust
There’s one player above 6ft on Canes top-6 (Svechnikov) & 3 at/below 5’10 (Stankoven, Jarvis & Blake)They've always said they don't want too much redundancy in the lineup.
