Reading Florida has traded for Radko Goudas’ rights:
“The Ducks traded the rights to defenseman Radko Gudas to the Panthers for the rights to forward A.J. Greer, the teams announced Monday.”

The Panthers being interested in a player like Gudas is really surprising and is out of left field.

I don't care who the player is, I look at it like this. If you'd rather have $10m per to play in a shit city on a shit team,, then you're an egomaniac without a winners attitude. Anyone can live quite well on $6.5m, AND be a winner, in a good city with a good franchise. There's a reason so many players are saying NO to Seattle. If all you care about is being the highest played guy, you're just an asshole.

I think that’s maybe the last thing you’d want. Then you’re probably keeping him to avoid only getting picks as compensation and then you’d lose all financial flexibility for a term set by somebody else.
