2026 NHL UFA/Trade Thread

[Sal_Butera]

After a few weeks no one will care how or why, including Larkin.

Except maybe his better half, which I believe it at the root cause of this fiasco…

**** her. Dylan can tell her to start working if this is so important to her. She'll come around quickly.

[Sal_Butera]

**** her.

That’s the end game.. I believe Larkin actually wants to be able to continue doing so…

[Habsy]

Not if our offer is significantly better, and any offer including Hage will be significantly better as Yurov and Strammel are meh. They can just make Larkin wait until he agrees to waive.

Hage will not be in any deal for a player older than 26.

If she is like most wives. If she isn't happy, she will male his life miserable

Habs offer I expect would be to the effect of:

Zharovsky + Pickford / Mooney + Dach + 1st

IF the rumors Det is looking for 2 grade A- prospects + current NHL top-9 player + 1st rounder

[Habsy]

I’ve got a bit of an issue moving Pickford before we see what we have there. Displays unicorn abilities. The rest, no problem.

Is Pickford a grade A- prospect?

We need a quality 2C during Nick's prime. That outweighs Pickford risk.

Is Pickford a grade A- prospect?

That’s where I would put him. Not quite A but that shot and skating is worthy of A-

And his reputed work ethic.

Who is the current top 9 player we are giving up

Pickford or Mooney are not grade A- prospects

Dach is a top 9. Easily.

Zharovsky is A. So it balances out.

[GEEMAN]

Dach is a top 9. Easily.

Dach is done and trash

Zharovsky is A. So it balances out.

DL expanded his list to 10 teams so there should be some traction soon somewhere

Dach is a top 9. Easily.

Sure, in the AHL. He's F'ing terrible.

[Habsy]

lol. You guys are fucked. He’s a top 9 all day long and plenty of other GMs will think so as well.
