MM could end up being a good 2C... Thomas and Hischier ARE very good 2Cs... maybe even 1C. Those 2 instantly make us serious contenders. MacTavish could be Dach.

We kinda in a similar situation to them. Both up and coming teams with our windows opening now. We might not be great trade partners. But you never know. It would have to be a hockey trade more than prospects and futures. That said... they might have "too many" canters. Unless they plan on playing Misa or Smith on the 3rd line.

I was pushing for it last year, but I'm with you now. He's not the answer, and his contract is prohibitive.

My thinking exactly. Overpay for Thomas or try to get Hischier. Either would be a good add.
