Sriven might end up better than these 2 and obviously, we're not talking about Rask here. I don't blame you for ignoring that part of my post.
While giving up Rask for Raycroft was incredibly stupid, chirping about it when your team gave up McDonagh for Gomez is sort of silly no?
Teams make mistakes.

I highly, highly doubt Scrivens will be the best of the three goalies. In my mind he's the clear number 3, even if he did have a great game last night. His rebound control is a major issue.
that never happened
Gomez trade was still worse. I loved Courtnall but he was never as good as McDonagh appears to be and he's so young... and the Gomez contract made him so much worse than Kordic.
Courtnall was a star for us and already an NHL player when he was traded for a cementhead. McDonagh hadnt played a single NHL game when we traded him.
Given our failure to develop players appropriately, I am not convinced McDonagh would have turned into the amalgamation of Orr, Robinson, Harvey and Lidstrom he is often made out to be had he remained in our organization.
I see your McDonagh for Gomez and raise you Kordic for Courtnall

I was too young for that one.
