Yeah. If the NHL wasn't filled with PC dolts that are scared to offend everyone and anyone off the ice, the Oilers would have been called much worst than a junior team. They'd be called, in Gretzky's famous words, a Mickey Mouse organization

If Deadmonton got the #1 pick and Connor McDavid publicly said he wouldn't go there, I'd respect the hell out of him.

I am not even sure McDavid would turn that franchise around. I still cannot get over Eakins comment when he was fired.

What made that comment even more absurd was what MacTavish stated during his hiring...

"I'm an impatient guy and I bring that impatience to this situation," he said. "I think we're at the stage in terms of the cycle of our hockey club right now that we have to do some bold things.

"We have to expose ourself to some semblance of risk to try and move the team forward in a rapid fashion."

Funny, laughs kinda had the opposite happen to them allowing 3 goals on six shots in the third.

I do too. However, Edmonton's fate is something I hope plagues New Jersey for the next decade. **** that sad sack of shit franchise.

I'm still intrigued with Magnus Paajarvi who was also placed on waivers - always thought he'd be a very solid 3rd line & PK specialist, and was miscast as an offensive producer due to his high draft spot selection.

an old 33 though, knee injury from time he was cause of Snyder's death, he's a cyclops too, many international tournaments too
