I’m hearing this morning that several NHL owners are “very concerned and unhappy” with Gary Bettman’s leadership. I think even the owners realize it’s time for a change in the NHL and culture only changes from the top down. It is time to FIRE BETTMAN. 1/

this is kind of like watching a glacier crack and collapse into the ocean. so much of the old NHL and its moldering institutions(one of which unfortunately appears to be widespread abuse of various kinds) is crumbling here right in front of us.

Please let it be a guy who understands how to properly market the game and it's players. After 30 years it's time for someone new and NOT Daley.

Gary or new dude works for the owners

Nothing will change until cronies accept it

I wish it worked like Amazon where a few dudes say , fuk it we are doing this tomorrow

how poorly prepared was bettman

like you have had 11 years to think of the questions and how you should respond

I mean it is crumbling because they refuse to adapt or change or do fucking anything remotely differently.

There was a path out of this with minimal casualties, but the owners and Bettman chose not to take it and instead double down on their stupid old boys club. Well, here we are ya morons.

It's just nuts they let McDavid get tackled for 4 games and people think 'That's playoff hockey". Jesus. This sport has issues.
the powers that be seem to determined to prevent the sport from progressing or evolving. if anything, they want to regress it.

They never do a former player, but would that be a bad thing??

Would Shanny take it? Would the rest of the league want a former player??

Isn't it the owners that would fire/hire the next commissioner? They want a business mind, not a hockey mind. Gary has been a fine business partner for them.
