That's the issue here. Even if they finish 32nd overall. the odds are still kinda crappy to get 1st overall. The last 2 straight years the last placed team has got 1st overall. Not sure we'll see a 3rd in a row. Massive disappointment if you don't get 1st overall. Buffalo and Arizona did so much in 2015 to win McDavid and both came up short.
As a rebuilding team... I'd love to finish last one more time. Bedard and Michkov look so good... and I guess Adam Fantilli would be an excellent consolation prize. Still disappointing to miss out on the top 2 of course.

They just use a model/algorithm pretty sure, so we'll see how their numbers pan out. Just thought it was interesting.

I'd have expected Marchment to get much more than that and not be a good "value" UFA.

Marchment would be a very Bunting signing.

Model breaker, that no one thinks will repeat. He has to want to give us a 2nd chance thought.

Do these numbers take into consideration the total amount available of cap space league wide? Not every team has boatloads of space.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these players aren't still available in late September.

So who is tanking for Bedard?
looks like Chicago, arizona, Seattle, Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo all of a chance. Hopefully he'll end up in the west.
