Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

A really shitty show with almost zero redeeming aspects.

Just compare it to Saul. Also pretty much replete with characters who are horrible people, but each has some different human element to them. The stories are actually well thought out and there's a steady logical progression from beginning to end. The actors are all fantastic and likeable, even though they're all playing bad/broken people.

And then you have Sucksession where the only thing the writers are trying to do is figure out how many times they can squeeze in the word jizz in an episode, and you have a bunch of gross, whiney, punchable actors saying the same shit over and over about their bad daddy for four years. Tom and Greg the Egg somehow must've been accidentally cast since they're the only ones worth watching.
I’ve watched and enjoyed Better Call Saul and never touched Succession and now based on your review I feel pretty content with my choices.

Sorry, must be some inside Habs joke. I don't know what the one reason would be.

General state of the Habs franchise?

Habs have all the leverage (Dubois's camp has made it clear he won't re-up long term in Winnipeg, with his preferred outcome signing a big contract Montreal) and none of the incentive (why try to compete next year, why not see what they have in Dach, why not wait until the clock starts ticking louder for the Jets to settle)

I'm definitely in the minority obviously, but I really don't get it. I've been watching it only because everyone raved about it for 2-3 years, and because now that I've come this far, an hour a week for a couple of months isn't much of a commitment. But I honestly get miffed at the end of each episode because it's always such junk.

So basically the Leafs' situation with Ottawa/Murray. If Habs were still run by Bergevin, I'm guessing he'd pay whatever he could to get him now. Not sure about the current regime, but the allure of a big French center will be hard to resist.

whoah....in an endless streaming world, hate watching shows adds up ( your passion (even if it's negative) seems heavily invested... you find it impossible to be apathetic about it...you bring it up once a week, unprompted, .....are you secretly in love with the show????)

I think you've made a counting error. I've brought it up this week.
