Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I don't know man, when I read that story my mind does not go to "what a stupid mistake they made when committing this crime", but I guess you're a lawyer, so maybe that makes sense.
 
A few years ago there was that girl on The Talk or whatever stupid show it is who said hockey boys are bullies/toxic and she got raked over the coals for it by Canadians.

But for my experience… she was right. I got harassed constantly by them in high school, propositioned for group sex, made fun of and degraded.

Holy cow, you are just the pinnacle of purity and morality! Let me wash my hands before typing anything more.

I will now only comment on the heinous crime itself and not on some related aspect of it, which was also a heinous crime.

100%. Hockey culture = everyone is in on all things sex-related. It's all done "for the boys" and sexual stories and even acts are shared with each other. Because they're bros. Or something. I'm no beacon of morality but the disgusting people in the sport is one of the reasons I quit competitive hockey relatively early.

Like I said, the comment just struck me as odd that's all. But then I remembered you're a lawyer and it probably makes sense to think like that. I'm not even trying to be a dick.

Well, first I said "holy shit" on the report overall, and then I commented on the stupidity of creating a production out of it.

But again, I apologize for not knowing that additional comments were not permitted here. I can't believe the story included the taping aspect. They should have just left that part out. But then again, the media isn't subject to rules proscribed by the hockey forum, so they have more leeway than I do when it comes to free speech.

I don't think anyone is bashing you! Seems like mostly a comment on how a lawyer's brain is wired compared to normies!

Strange that normies aren't also left aghast by the recording aspect, both how sick it is and how stupid it was of them!

That's the craziest part of the story, frankly, since it sounds like the group rape part of it isn't even all that uncommon amongst the young pro hockey ranks.
