He was never going to be a HabInteresting he wouldn’t want to wait to get that from the Habs next year.
Saw this on a Flames forum, an old tweet by a player agent about taxes. Not sure how accurate, but interesting nonetheless when we talk about places like FLA having a big tax advantage.

The good spots in the States have high living expenses. Much like Canada. For the non athlete the pay rate is the compensating factor.Cost of living can be the real advantage to certain spots but the tax thing has been beaten to death so many times.
Cost of living and weather in Toronto vs Florida or vegas would be a consideration.
Depends on the player. There’s plenty that want to live their life without getting mobbed every time they go out to eat. I’ve heard this from players too about how nice it is.I'm not an athlete, but gotta imagine it goes something like this:
1. $$$$$$
2. $$$$$$
3. $$$$$$
25. Weather
26. Anonymity
