I thought about this too and hear me out. What if both remaining Staals get injured and out? I could maybe get on board with that.

Since I went to Vegas for the cup run I have zero respect for that team. It's really Vegased. It's like "I'll buy that for a dollar" shit and the fans don't deserve shit either. Cocky MFs for no reason.
 
I gotta go for Vegas. Can’t stand them or their spoiled Johnny-come-lately fanbase.

But fuck the Panthers more because they don’t have any fans period, they have the Staals, and fuck the Leaf fans that are earnestly hoping to use “but we lost to the Cup champs!!!!” as an excuse.

Also—“three time Stanley Cup champ Phil Kessel” would be pretty funny.

Also, there's so much more available for your entertainment dollar in Florida dude, it's a playground and people only have so much to spend on entertainment.

The years of the Panthers playing in almost empty buildings suggest otherwise.

And Tampa doesn’t seem to have the same problem with a lack of “entertainment dollars” to spare…because they actually have a real fanbase.

Think it’s less of a “Florida” issue and more of a “Miami is a shit sports town” issue.

You're wrong if you're basing your opinion on the past. This is exactly what they need. Tampa played in a fucking cow palace and couldn't fill. You are really talking out your ass here. Hey why don't I tell you all about Ontario eh? Until Tampa won their first cup it was shit for the same reasons. After the cup it picked up then dropped again for years, look at the attendance. Once they became a perennial powerhouse winning cup after cup? Any town would sell out. This is very very weak shit dude.

Dolphins don't sell out either unless they're good. You do realize boating and other water activities is huge here right? Do you have any idea how much there is to do? I'm thinking you don't.
 
Vegas out-gunned the Jets and Oilers, with a pair of NHL back-ups. Would love to see them shutdown Tkachuk and baby-back Bennett.

Truthfully I think it's you and the joke-joke-makers that think the argument is important at all. Hockey is sixth in line and now selling out. Pretty easy to sell out when hockey is #1 dude.

Again, the original point I made was that the Panthers don’t have a fanbase.

I’ll take your statements that:
  • There’s tons of other things people in Miami would rather do than watch the Panthers.
  • They only attract fans if they win
  • The team is in sixth place in terms of sports team popularity in Miami

All that is also true in pretty much all US markets. NHL is more niche than mainstream. No reason to single out Florida because they have nice weather
