Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I could see moving drai first for a defenseman and a goalie and then you hope to God they have some type of major affect on overall team play and mcdavid has success next year.

Spec is a joke but fuck Tim Peel. Everything that's wrong with reffing, and now the guy is clearly trying to get himself some kind of media/podcast/whatever gig.
yeah, Peel is the first person who has ever made me feel the slightest bit bad for Spector. well done, Tim.

and also, as Spec correctly points out, a terrible ref.

Maybe, but I look around at the times most likely to be interested in Drai that he would waive for (imo, Carolina, Boston, NYR, FLA, maybe NJ, Dallas, Vegas) and I don't see anyone other than Boston with two good goalies and two top pairing defenders that would allow them to move one of each. If Edmonton wants a goalie, the only team that has two is Boston. Is Boston moving Swayman and McAvoy for Draisaitl? I'm going to say that they don't. Drai is more of a winger than a centre and Boston already has an elite trigger man winger who does the things Drai does offensively, but isn't a waste case in his own end.

The best fit/need combo imo is Carolina. They need an offensive game breaker, and Carolina has young skill forwards and in prime defenders they can spare that could probably fit in really nicely there (one of Necas/Svech, one of Pesce/Skjei with an extension number agreed on, Nikishkin, and picks).

You’re probably not sucking the right people.

The Habs should try to trade for Drai.

One or two of Suzuki/Caufield/Dach/Slafkovsky.

One or two of Guhle/Barron/Xhekaj/Harris.

One of two their goalies.
