What do you guys think Zegras is really worth considering the GM doesn't like his character?
 
I've always thought of him as an exciting flashy player, but not exactly a great one. I was just talking about him with a Ducks fan here the other day. He loves him, says he's awesome, but I'm not sure it isn't mostly because of his trick moves.
 
His D numbers are terrible but there's no denying the offensive flair. Just wondering what others thought it would take to acquire him.

For example would Guhle and a late first for Zegras and their second be on the ballpark?
 
The offensive production is good but only good and that's with him playing as close to no defence as is possible. Zeke is right when he points out that the biggest hurdle for these young and talented teams that put up nice offensive numbers (Buffalo, Ottawa) is doing it while playing defence. I'm not convinced Zegras will ever be anything more than a 2nd line can crusher who has to be deeply sheltered, or will play on shit teams his entire career but score 80+ points a season and get paid.
 
I think Zegras is worth the risk for the Habs with the bet being that MSL can coach him up to be better without the puck
