Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

every stat for sure says Bouchard should go but i am not upset he wasn't taken.

A guy who probably should be there is Spurgeon. And it's too bad Doughty was injured cuz he's a much much better old man pick than Pietro. Doughty is still actually good.

One thing that's flown under the radar this year is that this supposed elite Theodore-Hanifin-Pietrangelo defensive core has been complete doodoo.

Theodore the only respectable performance among them and still hasn't been up to his usual standard.

Hanifin has been an utter disaster in year 1 of his expensive 8yr deal.

Pietro has been legit bad and is still getting $8.8m for 2 more years.

If it wasn't for the underrated and cheap McNabb they'd be in huge trouble there.

in the end i don't mind at all that guys like Cirelli, Bennett, Sanheim are there - they are good prime players having great years and have never really benefitted from top PP time to goose their offensive production. Cirelli and Bennett both were important #2Cs on recent cup winners to boot.

The names that bother me the most are the vets whose games have clearly fallen off and just aren't very good anymore - Marchand, Pietrangelo, and Parayko.

I'm still shocked at how good Tanev is.

If we still had prime Brodie too, with these two goalies, we wouldn't give up a goal all season.
