The counter argument is that he's 29, only signed through 1 more year and management doesn't expect anyone over the age of like 24-25 right now to be there when the Sharks are trying to get better again in a few years.

Still should get something good though, definitely. But I get why they would move on from him. Same reason Montreal should have moved on from Matheson last year.

oh he's already 29 i didn't realize. thought he was like 26 or so.
 
savoie's worth the gamble for sure but it's telling that even the loilers wouldn't play him next to one of their big guys to try and goose his value.
