Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Gotta admit, a little sad.

I remain confused about Dubas's lack of interest in him.

It's not like it even came down to Foligno vs. Hall. We easily had the assets to land them both, and more enough cap space for both and the other guys we added if we cleared Fred's cap hit either by moving him, or keeping him on LTIR.

I think Dubas genuinely believes that keeping the cap flexibility to bring back Fred in-season > acquiring Hall.

yeah it could go either way. Dubas could look like a genius or an idiot in a couple months.

I do think Hall thought he'd get an extension in Boston where in Toronto there was no chance.

So? Play well in Toronto for a few months and pick your destination.
Sounds like he wants to find a long term home and stop changing cities. Staying with Boston after this season would perhaps be more appealing for him than moving again to another team.

Yeah, it’s weird there was no talk of the Leafs being interested in Hall, but they were willing to part with a 1st+ for Foligno.

Ben Harpur?

That dude was legitimately 12th or 13th on our defense depth chart just last season.

How has he played in 26 games for the Preds this year?

I don't want to wish for an opponent over another, but I feel that if Calgary squeaks in, they would be a tougher matchup. You just never know if Sutter can get them to clutch and grab their way to a first round upset.

I would prefer Montreal, because if it comes down to the wire, that would mean montreal would have to be pretty damn shiite, and Calgary would be on a heater.

I definitely would prefer to catch the team going down rather than on a heater.
