Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

These fucking guys think that people want to watch a bunch of lunch bucket grinders get pucks deep, work the boards and "get pucks on net" all night, and think that pure violence that is illegal in any other setting is required to keep the game from becoming too fun to watch.

Fucking dinosaurs. Fuck the whole lot of them. Retire, die, or just otherwise fuck off please.
played some shinny yesterday

we were doing that goal as a set play for fun - and we are all grown adults

imagine all the kids doing that at practice, at the outdoor rinks, in driveways, etc

I’ve tried that pass many times over the years in practices, but never had the balls to try it during an actual game.

pfft.....you're missing out on the joys of cross checking your fellow man

What does "good honest hard game" mean btw? Bland, vanilla, boring game? That's the direct translation right? I have been thinking about it for the last couple of days and I can't think of anything else that it would mean.

it's like defining pornography....you know a tacky goal when you see it

It was awesome, but it wasn't even that crazy of a play. Players have flipped the puck over the net before. Kessel set up a goal like that in Pit.

If you've got a player behind the net unimpeded and with time to cradle the puck and move it in any direction - AND another player in front of the net or charging the net with time/space - isn't the other team already doing something wrong? That goal could have just as easily been scored in a bunch of different ways - I don't see the problem here.

that kind of bs that gives the game a bad name is why Phil got traded a thousand times

What do they do with a guy like Datsyuk who did shit like that all the time 10 years ago, but was also the hardest working, best defensive player in the league?
