Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

The kid has skill. He’s just really small.

Great shot , he has to learn to get separation and find space

MSL is showing confidence in and he will produce on the PP in time

He will always have limitations , just need to get the best of what he can do well .

He will. Marner will too.

I think the Leafs exercise in first round futility is just going to show in the end that, no, they did not suck or lack killer instinct, but rather that it’s really fucking hard for a group of teenagers and early 20s players to win on their first few go rounds.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the trend completely reversed soon. That we find we make the finals every year and win a couple. From can’t win to almost can’t lose.

for Matthews individually he's been doing his part in the playoffs, with the exception of the montreal series. the other big guns performances have been more spotty IMO

I feel like playoff experience is really just figuring out what you can get away with. Take a look at Ovy in the recent past he started laying out people with what would definitely be iffy checks in the regular season.

Overall stats may look nice but I’m guessing if we isolate games 6/7 and 5 for the Columbus series, the numbers won’t look good. Their issue has been coming up big in the clutch, and that’s been a fail in every series.

Looks like Buffalo did not get ripped-off in that ROR trade like we thought. Thompson is a beast. Didn't know he's Phoenix boy.

BTW, is Arizona even spending a proper amount on scouting to take advantage of all these future picks? Because they are missed on a few top 10 picks. I'm not convinced all these picks mean much.

Arizona is a top to bottom clown org

a competent GM would have forced Dubas to at least undergo some minor inconvenience to improve his roster and clear out Mimsy in one fell swoop.

a 2nd in 2025??? wow that's really twisting the Leafs arm there guys. good job.

their 2600 screaming fanatics will be in for such a treat the next 4 years

That’s be a gross way to lose a 1st.

Not that bad really...

Hagel being cheap for 2 more years would be pretty nice. He would be a nice and cheap kerfoot replacement. Fleury would give us as experienced a 1B as possible who has been known to go on absurd playoff runs. Clears Pete's 3.8 off of the books as well.

Would allow us to move Kerfoot in the summer (just not worth 3.5 million to us) and between that, Pete, the Mimsy trade and Kessel's retention finally ending, would allow us to hit the summer with enough space for Jack, the blueline kids RFA deals and then money left over for some combination of Engvall, Kase, and Mikky
