I would argue that suggests they did look into it and discovered it wasn't that big of a deal and already handled appropriately by the police. I know everyone wants to assume the very worst and with the NHL it's hard to argue otherwise, but sometimes things happen that aren't the worst possible scenario. Of course, we don't know all the details so hard to say anything conclusive.

You pick some odd ass hills to defend.
 
If they are adamantly denying it has to do with players and family...maybe Perry took 18 year old bedard put and got him drunk (underage), gave him coke, or involved him in some type of illegal act.

That would be a work place violation.

It is nuts how big this has become. Was all over the morning radio shows this morning, I've heard three separate groups talking about it on transit, in the coffee shop.

Feel pretty bad for Bedard. It will die down, but it's forever now.
