and in most/all cases their they added offensive firepower whenever possible, and accepted the ups and downs of developing their kids to play key depth roles. Could you imagine us sticking with guys like Girard & Nicushkin as they figured out "playoff hockey" over the course of a few tries?
 
If you're going to force your core to play a Berube style game then you might as well trade one if them for top 6 guys that can play like that like Tkachuk.

There are coaches that aren't meant to coach Ferraris and need to have Bentleys instead.

Which is why I keep saying that they need to dump Marner.
