Thompson did come into tonight with a .951 in the first two games.
This Year
Thompson: 43gms, .910sv%, +0.59gsax/60, 130pt pace
Montembault: 62gms, .901sv%, +0.53gsax/60, 91pt pace
Lindgren: 39gms, .894sv%, +0.14gsax/60, 95pt pace
Dobes: 16gms, .909sv%, +0.51gsax/60, 100pt pace
I have no idea if Dobes can keep up anything close to that level but the drop of from Thompson to Lindgren was yuge this year, and there wasn't much dropoff at all from Monty to Dobes.
Though iirc Dobes started super red hot and i don't know if it was a steady decline after that or not.
goalies are voodoo...especially in a small sample like playoffs
true, but the caps without thompson in net this year were pure bubble quality.
for whatever reason i actually trust the habs more with a shitty backup in net.
probably wrong on that but it feels right.
Sporadic play afterwards and left out to lunch on the Habs 1-9-1 stretch so a little of both. This Year
