I simply said that if Perry was on the ice with Gallagher at all then I'd probably wager that habs fans will be the most agitated. It was in response to a post that you made. I don't recall discussing the importance of the signing.

Nah I genuinely meant it. It would be way more agitating to habs fans if they were on the ice together. Was a simple observation. I'm sorry. It won't happen again.

I didn't say they shouldn't do it. I said it's annoying to watch horrible players not keep up with your team's best players.

Gallagher is due to break his hand again, so we might see Perry in the top 6 for a bit.

Honestly its what I want to see.

Make the best 3rd line possible out of the non-stars (Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Hyman would be a really damn good 2 way 3rd line imo - more like a 2nd line) and then let the two dynamic duos carry the top 2 lines, with everyone else fighting for those 2 complementary spots and the losers battling for the 4th line spots.

I can see Thornton joining Matthews or Tavares. for the odd shift.

But I’ll be very surprised if Simmonds spends any time in the top-6, unless he has a huge bounce-back year.

Both because Thornton’s a better player, and because he’s a better fit as a pass-first player with a couple of goal-scoring centers like Matthews & Tavares.
