That’s so much worse than the playoff hits that got him suspended as a Leaf.

Man, that’s such a bummer, because I really like Naz and want to see him do well. But that’s complete vindication for the decision to trade him away.

It has been over 18 months since his last suspension though, so he’s totally not a repeat offender, right Parros?
 


Alternate angle. I think he's done for the rest of round 1. Feet may be on the ice at the moment of contact but he definitely jumps through it.

I actually don't think Kadri meant to hit his head but it's just the way he finishes his hits to get his little body to give it some extra oomph. Inexcusable but I don't think he actually wanted to do that.

Stevens otoh absolutely targeted chins and was trying to put those stars out of the playoffs permanently. Dirtiest player ever.

Agree that I doubt he targeted the head, but he was going for a big blind-sided hit on a player in a vulnerable position. The intent to do some damage was there.

Yeah, Kadri is careless and, let’s be honest, a little dumb. But I don’t think he’s a malicious player.

Stevens though was a complete piece of shit that was out there deliberately trying to give people severe brain injuries.

Whenever he comes up, I always have to mention how happy it makes me that his own career ended early due to post-concussion syndrome.
