But it's the worst of both worlds....because he's dumb, like 99% of hockey players. So he strings dumb words together well for the camera.

From a media perspective, his role isn't to be smart. The problem is, unlike prime Don Cherry, he's tremendously unlikable on television because he comes across as fake and try hardy as fuck. He tries to be Don but Don's appeal was that he was real.
