To think that these aren't massive pulls on him is so insanely oblivious. He wanted to be the top paid player on this team. There's nothing inconsistent there. It didn't necessarily need to be either or.

In the end, if it's go to Anaheim for $14M or stay in Toronto for $12M, you better believe he's not opting for the extra money.
