I'm hoping that Marner's camp comes to the leafs with a deal with Vegas so that he can get the 8th year 13/13.5 x 8 but then we take Pietrangelo off their hands and keep him on LTIR for the WHHHOLLLE year and then you spend the whole year recovering and bring him back for round one.
You see if that is even possible by the trade deadline and if he's ready to go, then you trade Reilly away at the deadline for picks and an impact forward.

I also offer 9.5 to Bennet and tell JT to hit the road.

That's a very good idea. I'd take that over a crappy pick.

I am not as confidant as many that Bennett is not talking to teams on July 1st. I think he has to.
7-7.5 per in Florida won't get it done.

His agent is pushing for that for sure.

I think Ekblad is the guy they can replace tbh.

He's good, but Forsling is their best D, and Jones helps alleviate losing Ekblad, who i also think might age terribly

I would happily sign Ekblad and trade Carlo for a centre.

Im sure you would, but i got the feeling some of those poo teams are going to go higher than the Leafs are comfortable going with him, and i think Ekblad just might take the bag after b2b Cups.

Carolina seems like a healthy compromise, he can win, and someone might take their money if Marner doesnt want them

Since when does Carolina outbid rich teams for players? Tulsky doesn't operate that way.
