Chiarelli is a funny one, because of course he has the cup on his resume and he was the one who signed Chara as a UFA.

But when you look at the actual track record, outside of the two times he dealt with us (Kessel trade, and Raycroft/Rask trade) almost everything else was fucking brutal.

Since the cup win it's been all head scratchers though.

So yeah, tough to put Treliving anywhere but in his own level of incompetence. How do you, over the course of just a few seasons, manage to turn Gaudreau, Tkackuk and Marner into Weegar, Huberdeau, and Nic Roy? That's historic.

I’d definitely put him in the top spot as the most incompetent Leaf general manager of my lifetime. Even ahead of JFJ, Dave Nonis, Gord Stellick or Cliff Fletcher 2.0, when we briefly reanimated his corpse to serve as our interim GM.
