Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

I know a couple of people like that. They blamed living in the GTA for their depression. Then they moved to the US and guess what? Still depressed!

As the saying goes, wherever you go, there you are.

Probably the only thing about uprooting and moving that might’ve legitimately helped Mitch would be putting some serious geographical and personal distance from his dad.

But considering he was standing right off to the side of Mitch at his introductory presser & touring Vegas’s facilities with him, it seems unlikely that Mitch accomplished that.

Poor guy making eight figures a year and getting his name close to the top of all time franchise leaders lists for the team he grew up loving and hoping to play for. That is some rough shit.

That’s not how mental illness works, bud.

Andre Agassi reached world No. 1 in tennis and still spent years feeling miserable.

Of course, you can have everything going for you and still be depressed and fucked in the head.

That's what I'm saying. It's crazy that someone can have literally their dreams fulfilled and have more than they ever hoped for and yet be miserable.

I said it over a year ago, that if he ditched the Leafs like he ultimately eventually did, he most assuredly has some mental issues because no rational person would've done what he did.

And I think the regret of it is already festering within him, was amplified in a big way by this loss and his usual vanishing act, and is going to get way worse as we go, especially if the Leafs bounce back strong and Vegas slowly circles the bowl.

Honestly sounds like he has serious mental health issues, likely stemming from his dad abusing him as a kid and probably explaining why he can't perform under pressure.

Its kinda sad. Nice of the Leafs to bring in the top sports psychologist for him.
Whose that, Babcock?
