Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

And some teams may find this draft top heavy, others may think you can beat the generic "expected value" chart by opting for two picks. And from what I've seen, opinions differ wildly from scout to scout on this one. Some say this is a very deep draft with only 1-2 future stars. Others say there are gonna be #1 d available in the top 5.

It's situational obviously. But the chart is clearly widely used by all except Treliving and provides a strong base for value in trades like these.

Could you imagine saying that about Connor McDavid.

The only reason they almost won is because McDavid had two of the best playoff runs ever. But if he just sacrificed some of that they would've won the cup for sure.

"Gretzky has to score less to win"

Make a list of all of the teams that won the cup by scoring fewer goals than their opponents.

does anyone think Babcock isn't there without McDavid's, and to a somewhat lesser extent Draisatl's, say so??

who you need to feel bad for are the random 2-4 other guys on the team Babcock will select for psyop participation..pray for those poor fucks

Yeah, doesn’t sound like he just gave his blessing but actively pushed for it so he can only blame himself if things go up in flames.

McDavid just wants the Babcock scars so when he joins Matthews in Toronto he'll have suffered similar trauma.

Seems like teams really don't value the top dmen in this class like the nerdscouts pretend to.

And this doesn't surprise me. Wheeler may be dumb, but the guy does constantly talk to NHL scouts and the consensus sentiment among them is that there are maybe 2 stars in this draft and everyone else has major flaws they'll have to overcome to be a difference maker. He's been saying this for awhile and he always mentions that it comes from NHL scouts.
