Yes, but you are 1 hour away from NYC, Boston, Philly, Pittsburgh etc.But 'murica, some of the most depressing architecture I've ever seen in my life, half of the actual city is hoods.
American cities, especially rust best cities are where the people without money to leave the city stay. All of the money tends to concentrate in the suburbs. You'll get a decent downtown (sometimes), and then a ring of crime, violence, drugs and dispair surrounding it, and then white people living their white picket fence lives in the suburbs. Buffalo is one of the worst examples of that I've seen.

Its not a huge upgrade but it is 100% an upgrade from the peg and they look to have a decent team, which the jets currently do not have.
I dunno man.In the Hellebuyck context, does that really matter? These guys don't have a lot of off days during the season to take day trips like that...and then I'd like point out that a 1hr flight isn't really 1hr of your day. It's 3-4 hrs when you count packing, travel to airport 1 hr before your flight, flight time and then taxi out of airport. Doable-ish if you really wanted to sneak out to NYC for a Yankees game or some shit, but still not easy. Fwiw, the flight time from Winnipeg to Chicago is only 20-30 minutes longer than Buffalo to NYC or Boston.
This is more about 'murica vs not 'murica for him, he'll spend all of his time away from the rink out in the fairly charming suburbs.
Like I said, I've been to both cities and the city of Buffalo is the worst city I've been to in my life. But to rich hockey players who don't want to be in a city and whose main experience with the city is going to be driving through it on a highway between the arena and the suburb he lives in, that matters less.
City to city though, Winnipeg wins, somehow. Maybe the only H2H in the league it wins.
