You know what makes the Bruins choking in round 1 extra sweet? A lot of factors, actually:
-Arguably the greatest regular season team of all time.
-A team that went all in, and I do mean all in, for this year. Bergeron & Krejci both low caphit contracts with easy to attain performance bonuses to enhance the money they'd make, but in return Bawstun is going to have $3.5M in dead money next season. There's a strong possibility that neither one of them is going to be back. Almost half of their forwards are pending UFAs and they don't have a ton of cap space. There's a strong chance they're gonna have to trade Jeremy Swayman for a less than ideal return.
-While they're still going to be good next year, I don't think they're going to be legit contenders.
