The Lakers played in a pantywaist division with the Clippers, Kings, and Warriors. They even managed to lose to the mediocre Rockets in 86.
The Celtics played in the Atlantic Division with the 76ers, Knicks, and Pistons. That was men's basketball, not the junior varsity crap they played on the left coast.
iirc Magic was 2-1 against Bird in the final, we get it though, you preferred the whites to the blacks

fyi Bird lost to the 76ers in 1982, the same team the Lakers beat, and then in 1983, Celtics lost to Milwaukee in 4
Celtics were great in that era, Lakers were better

repeating it doesn't make it true. The Pistons only got decent at the end of the Celtic run. Yes the Celtics had the 76ers for a couple of years, but that is it.
In the end, head to head, the Lakers won more often in the Final than they lost to Boston, point finale
and Bird never had six chicks at once like Magic did
