What if you, Count, needed the Canucks to win a game. Would you be all in on the bandwagon? Or would you resent the Habs for putting you in a position where rooting for the team you hate most was necessary?

Yes I have wanted Cannots to win if it benefits us and have. All that matters is how it affects the Canadiens. I don't want Cannots in post season but it benefits us so i will make the sacrifice.

I would be more angry that the Habs put me in such a position to begin with. Why do I as a fan have to have a turd put under my nose just because my team couldn't take care of their own business? My relationship with the Habs is transactional. They make me pay to watch them so I demand service in kind. In other words, don't ask me to root for the Leafs to win a game just because you couldn't win the games you needed to when you had the chance. What am I paying you clowns for?

As logical as it might be to cheer for a Leafs victory if it benefits the Habs, I have never once, in 60 years, been able to do it and can see no scenario where I could. Its no good to argue rationale. Its just not in my makeup. I cannot do it. Any more than I could shoot a moose.
