Around The League - 2025 Playoffs

Nothing, eh?

He's 20 in a state where the legal drinking age is 21. I'm also fairly certain that soliciting prostitutes is also illegal and I'm not even sure a 20 year old can legally rent a car. So that "nothing" is starting to look like a "something" to me.

This story has a Galchenyuk snorting blow off a hooker's ass vibe to it. I'm really glad we took The Orville instead of Michkov.

EDIT: Apparently this incident happened in Dubai because of course it did. It's precisely the kind of place where I'd expect a douchebag Russian to spend his vacation.
Even without issues you cant have another midget on the top 6 who doesnt defend at all and isnt physical

I'm sure you drank before the legal age of 19 in Ontario.

Let me take a wild guess... you've never been to Dubai.

Real good look for the Canucks, given that Foote's kid is currently on trial for gang rape.
so Foote shouldn't be hired because his son is on trial, make it make sense?

If your brother did something, should you be fired for it?

If Jr did something, should I be disbarred?

Adam loves his son and I am sure he wants him found not guilty, any dad would. That isn't a crime.

If your son dodges the draft and flees the jurisdiction, you may have to answer for your role in it.

I'm not saying that Foote shouldn't be hired based on what's happening with his son, but from an optics point of view one would think that the Canucks would want to avoid being anywhere near it. After all, it's not like Foote is some coaching savant; a guy who, if you don't sign him, will get poached by another club.

And Adam can love his son but he should want justice to prevail, even if that means his son gets punished. The world needs fewer fathers helping their idiot sons get away with shit and more fathers like the Martin Sheen character in Wall Street who, when his son tells him that even after testifying against Gekko in court he will still go to prison, basically says "Well, maybe going to prison will teach you about the wages of sin."

That is exactly what you meant. In your view because his son is on trial, he shouldn't be hired.

I have the sneaky suspicion the Stasi would have loved you as you would rat out friends and family.

If I were the Canucks, I'd probably avoid him until the trial was over. Being a head coach in a Canadian NHL city comes with increased exposure and scrutiny. The Canucks are already hearing about this hire on social media. It's a distraction they don't need.
