Would you rank Ovy above Lafleur? Not sure. Problem is Lafleur peak was pretty short, Ovy has been remarkably consistent.

Easy to do when you play into your 40's by standing at the dot waiting for a pass. Guy doesn't even need to shower after games. If he moved any less he'd be a potted plant.

I watched him play live last season. the dude doesn't do a goddamn thing out there except wait for a pass at the dot. He barely qualifies as a hockey "player" anymore. He's just a designated shooter. If the offside rule didn't exist he wouldn't even bother clearing the offensive zone.

I'm saying that he's no "machine". There's nothing "incredible" about standing around doing nothing while your teammates do all the heavy lifting. He's a goal suck, pure and simple. He certainly USED to be a hell of a player, but for the last couple of years at least, he's simply been hanging around just to chase the record. He's not earning anything; he's being allowed to coast in order to preserve his longevity for as long as it takes to set the records.
