Lots of Minny players injured or playing hurt and G has been putrid
because those time frames don't match up. Matthews is on the verge of being washed, McKenna is likely 2 to 3 years away from being a great player. What's Matthews going to look like at 31/32?
There's 2 ways to go for the Leafs- trade Matthews and embrace a proper full rebuild or move down and acquire some assets from Vancouver, keep a high pick and use those assets to rebuild on D.
Adding McKenna to Matthews to their group and expecting the playoffs is a long shot at best, especially given their shitty D and goaltending

Top line numbers suggest bottom D pairing is getting steamrolled. Maybe last change will help. But doubt it.
