Yes, it's an incredible painting. Back in my university days (wayyyyyyyyyy back 😉), Mr. D, one of our absolutely beloved art history profs, brought this one out for discussion. We didn't have the I-net, but he just beat the living hell out of slides and projector. He pointed out so many details, techniques, attitudes, and so on with this work. . .we all just scribbled away as fast as we could bc we  knew there was going to be a kick-ass exam, but also bc we appreciated what the guy had to say about what we were studying. Mr. D would have been quite the terror if he'd ever gotten his mitts on "tech"! 😄
