Board Bets

The other thing..maybe the only other thing Tigre and I have in common (aside from a past filled with stripper banging) is that we're both better than you.

Can't stand it when them niggras are happy though, can you. What is that rich black man who ****ed everything in site for two decades, hiding behind that dake smile..right?

boy

Don't flatter yourself skippy. You just don't like when your racism is framed accurately.

I don't normally defend Count cause I find his general hatred/jealousy and ridiculous nicknames for all athletes outside of the teams he likes to be annoying and childish. However, I gotta say he appears to be an equal opportunity hater. He doesn't appear to be any more critical of minorities than anyone else.

Fair enough. I didn't realize that he was that big a twat to all people he envied and not just the dark skinned ones. I take it back Count, you're not racist, just a hating bitch.

He can't even say Zibanejad without calling him the "Iranian Swede".

He's clearly got racial tendencies. No need to wash over it.

You could be right... I'm just sayin how I view it. I think he feels he's being clever. He also calls Douglas Murray the Scottish Swede. Maybe it's a racist thing... I dunno for sure.

So MindzEye, we going double or nothing on the $80 you owe me or you gonna quit while you're behind? I was thinking a straight standings bet. Habs and Leafs. Who finishes higher.

Yeah, those odds look really, really even man.

How about a prop bet on whether or not it's going to crack 80 in Miami tomorrow too, while I'm throwing money away?

I have no faith in Randy to get the most out of this team.

But the Habs lost Vanek and apparently aren't going to be as good as they were last year.

In all honesty I do think the two teams are fairly even on paper, I do respect your concern over coaching though.

Still a very solid blueline, still a deep forward group (though lacking in game breaking talent), still a quality goalie tandem. I've got them for 95-99 points personally. As much as I see the bones for a 100+ point team in Toronto, I really don't have any faith in the concept of Randy coaching differently. Dudes system has been a drag on possession play across 2 stops now and it's gotten to the point in Toronto where his system has either been proven as a complete failure, or he's failed in his ability to get this group of players to execute it (I think it's some of the latter, but more of the former personally).

Had we axed him, then made the moves we made in the off season I'd probably go for this bet on even odds man, but I really have no faith in Carlyle running this team and I don't buy the line of thought that Shanny telling him to coach differently will make any appreciable difference. I'm actually hoping that they stumble out of the gates just bad enough to lead to a jettisoning of Randy, but not bad enough that they miss the playoffs.

and I agree with this. On paper both clubs are 95-99 point clubs imo with the potential for a bit of additional upward movement based on development of talented kids (Rielly, Gardiner, Kadri, AG, NB, etc). I think Montreal has their system's play more or less down and Toronto is shambolic, and that's the major difference between them.
