Because while masks reduce the likelihood of transmission, they aren't the only factor? Lack of large superspreader events, how businesses and restaurants choose to operate, whether people are outdoors more where transmission seems to be lower, that area's ability to contact trace, etc.
Do you think with 4 cases total and maybe zero current cases they should all be wearing masks?

I think in the middle of a global pandemic, if you're going to be indoors with strangers and cannot socially distance, people should wear masks. Even in counties with relatively few cases. That's what my education and previous experience as a medical professional in a laboratory says to me is common sense.

I do not anticipate given your stances on other subjects that you'll agree, and quite frankly I don't care. You do you.

We know this virus spreads and infects by airborne droplets being inhaled and/or transferred by touch from surfaces to the recipients mouth or nose.

Therefore blocking droplets from being airborne in the first place and/or falling to surfaces to be touched by others is an effective means of limiting the spread from an infected individual, who may be asymptomatic and unaware they are a spreader.

Similarly, blocking intake of airborne particles and/or making it more difficult to inadvertently touch ones mouth or nose while in a public environment that may have infectious material on surfaces is an effective means to limit chances of being infected.

It's not just a social thing (I look out for you and you look out for me). It's more of a seat belt thing. We all do it to save lives and limit expenses of putting Humpty Dumptys back together again.

Clearwater, Fla. Have fun with that NBA thing, and the RNC convention, and whatever else you're pretending is going to be safe in Florida.

Orange County, home to Disney World, reported 15.1% positive test cases yesterday.

And McKenzie just tweeted that it’s his understanding that an NHL team has had to temporarily close their training facilities because 3 players and 2 staff tested positive.

If you have an area that has not had any significant number of cases it’s going to be difficult to get people to take as many precautions. That’s not a stance that’s just how it is.
My question is why have there been so few cases in these places that aren’t wearing masks as much. There are a fair number of people that go between MHC and the Triangle. One would presume that there’d be more cases than basically none in MHC since their mask wearing numbers are low. Maybe that will change. And if you look at Newport the number of cases is significantly higher with probably less contact with hotspots.

So take your condescending liberal elite attitude and stuff it.

McKenzie says it’s Tampa.

Umm .... yes. Do knock it off.

This is not now nor has it ever been the board for a partisan political "discussion."
